Have you considered that maybe your sister's make up is the wrong shade for her skin tone? I use MaryKay (and although I am not a woman of color) and love their products. I was also a consultant and had many women of all colors/backgrounds; and with the right color match, everything looks gorgeous!!!!

Mary Kay has gone through alot of changes over the past couple of years and the quality of there products have declined. I would recommend your friend visit a department store and have her make-up done professionally. The make-up artists are great at helping you choose colors. And tell her to experiement...sometimes change is a good thing.

If you are talking about the foundation she clearly needs to use the right color. As with any brand you need to match the color to your skin tone and if its too orange she is using the wrong color! You may want to mention that to her.

My sister uses it and she looks like a clown. haha. I prefer Avon. It is nicer and much cheaper. I think it gets started b/c someone will have a party, every one feels obligated to buy and before you know it, you're having a party and buying the same crap. For what the price of a lip gloss with Mary K I can buy two lip glosses and get one free from Avon.

That OK that you feel that way but if you have not tried them you would not know if it is not for you.marykay is not cheap just because there are not in stores.this company was made by a woman for a woman you should look for information about marykay you would be surprise.she was a very confident lady. there are many shades of color. but it is not always for everyone.
