In the last day I have been unable to connect to MSN Messenger, I keep getting error code: 80048820 and extended error: 80048439. I am also unable to display the "My Ebay" page in Ebay. I have followed all the instructions re security settings with negative result. I have also tried system restore but every date I choose the system tells me it has been unable to restore!
Anyone have any ideas??

I have no idea what the error codes mean, I'm sorry, but a couple of days ago, I couldn't access Messenger and itunes. I'd forgotten I'd started in safe mode, and once I switched back to normal boot up, everything was fine again.
Could it be something similar with you?
Try normal start up and see what happens.
