I just brought an Australian Vodafone sim card because I will be there in a month and will need one pretty quick, so I activated it as soon as I got it and I used my passport as ID, real name, but used a made up Australian address. Will this make any difference when I call customer service, am I in any risk of getting in trouble with the law?

Nah address doesn't mean anything... only someone else will be getting your junkmail!! Good luck! (ps you may need to remember what address you used as customer services may want to use it as a security question!)

I doubt it - When I was there I just used the Hotel address - even although we were only there a couple of days.
