I have previously accessed piratebay 3 or 4 times, but now can't access it at all. My computer times out everytime. I cannot find any reason for this. I have not changed any settings myself. I access the internet with Firefox (although the same happens with Explorer) I use Mcafee Security Suite 2007 and regularly scan my computer with this and also Spybot and Ace Utilities to tidy my registry etc. I would define my knowledge as good amateur. I have checked all the settings I can think of and am at a loss. Can anyone help?

They do go offline occasionally. They are currently having server problems so won't be able to access them. Apparently the police there have been raiding their places recently. They have set up new shop at a different location so they have been having problems getting up to speed lately. You can browse and download from there but the search feature is disabled right now. Go to alternate torrent sites like mininova, isohunt, bittorrent, etc. to get your files for now. As long as you can access other sites, it's not your computer that is the problem, it's the site itself.

Arrrgh, we've stormed the bay, taken their treasure and abused their wenches, you'll have to deal with us now!

Just kidding, they go offline regularly, no idea why. Try torrentspy.com or try later!

I just tried thepiratebay.org and it came up fine. Sub menus also work. Earlier it was a little weird. Try again....
