I don't like plasma TV's simply because they work the same way as a fluorescent light tube. The electric charge excites the gas inside the picture tube and creates the image (or light in the case of a fluorescent tube), but over time the gas doesn't get excited as much and the picture degrades. Also, if you ever have an accident where the tube gets broken and the gas leaks out, you no longer have a working television and it costs more to replace a plasma screen than to buy a new television. Many plasma screens are no longer even available for replacement anymore, that's why you frequently see broken plasma TV's on ebay. They aren't even worth fixing. Someone is just trying to cut their losses by suckering someone into paying for their unfixable piece of junk. I read a few months ago that by Christmas '07 the price of LCD televisions is supposed to drop dramatically with 32' models expected to sell for around $400. As far as what has the best picture, I have to go with DLP projection TV's, but because of their size and weight, they are not good in rooms where you don't have a lot of space or if you like to rearrange the furniture a lot.

well, any plasma or lcd tv that supports 1080p would be the best. although those are still very expensive. my lcd can handle 720p or 1080i and the games look fantastic. not too many games are made that support 1080p so maybe you should just get a nice reasonably priced tv. good luck though. the ps3 looks good on any tv
