Knowing that I will die one day makes life more precious and meaningful. Having said that, if anyone were to offer me an extra ten or twenty years when the time comes, I'd be in no hurry to rush off anywhere...

No, why should it, to die is yes frightening of the unknown and we all have this aspect but as long as one leads a good life there is no worry, if one has not then they should start to reconcile there life as we are judged and there is a Hell but not what people think. Take this serious even if we have been bad and turned good there is still a chance we will not get rewards, or if one has been good all there lives, unlikely, there is still a risk, God chooses not us.
There are seven plains to cross and we have to earn these plains, this is why you here of Ghosts, and the paranormal, because it is spirits that cant pass over through one reason or another or they choose not to or they are scared to pass over so they stop in a haunting plain asking for help.
