Try the Dr. Shettles theroy, go to Barnes and noble online or the store. (this is where I found our book) we have three boys and desperatly wanted a little girl. WE got the book and waded our way through it and hurray, we are now pregnant with twin girls. We tried really really hard, lol. Read the whole book, don't just hit the high spots. My husband and I read one chapter every night before bed. It is kind of long and involved, but it is most certainly worth every minute. You need to read the whole book though. good luck and baby girl dust your way.

We also have 2 boys, 3 1/2 and 11 months. I have wanted a girl each time. With our second one I tried a bunch of the wives tales, but we still got a boy. Here is what I've heard:
Man on top
Sex 3-5 days before ovulation date
Eat yogurt/dairy
I even looked at the chinese conception calendar and picked a month that said I'd have a girl and it was also surrounded by pink boxes on both sides for months.

I'm pregnant again (14 weeks) and this wasn't planned, so we didn't get to try any of those suggestions again. So here's hoping and waiting...
Good luck!!! I know exactly how she feels and I hope you guys get a girl!

This method has an 87% success rate if done properly. Males produce two types of sperm---male(Y) and female(X). Male sperm makes a boy; female sperm makes a girl.

Your wife should douche with a preparation of 1 tsp (5ml) of WHITE vineger and 1qt (1L) sterile water (or water that has been boiled and cooled; adding white vinegar AFTER the water has cooled). Your wife should douche just before intercourse. However, have sex 1-2 days BEFORE ovulation.
The theory behind this is that male sperm prefer an alkaline environment---so the acidity immobilizes the male sperm increaing the chances that a female sperm will fertilize the ova. Male sperm are faster swimmers, but don't live as long as female sperm. So if intercourse takes place a day or two days before ovulation, most of the male sperm should be dead by the time ovulation occurs---leaving mostly female sperm. Again this increases the chances that a female sperm will fertilize your wife's egg.

On the other side of this question, if a couple wants to increase the chances of having a boy, prepare a douche, but use 1tsp of baking soda instead of white vinegar. Time intercourse as close to ovulation as possible. This method has a 75% success rate for producing a boy

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The timing of intercourse can have an effect. Sperm carrying Y chromosomes apparently swim faster but do not survive as long as their X-carrying counterparts. So if a couple has intercourse right at the time of ovulation, the faster-swimming male sperm have an advantage, and a male baby is slightly more likely. But if the timing is a day or two earlier, more of the male sperm die out, and a female baby is a bit more likely. Even so, it is often difficult to time ovulation accurately, and your odds of determining gender do not change much. Without the application of advanced (and sometimes invasive and expensive) technology, such as in vitro fertilization, the chances of conceiving a boy or a girl remain close to equal.

Good luck! :-)

theres a book you can get called how to choose the sex of your baby boy or girl and it tells you different things to do this may be helpful it also depends on postions you use.here is some helpful information for yall
If you want a girl...

> Both partners should eat lots of fish and veggies.

> Give in to your chocolate craving, or just eat sweets in general.

If you want a girl...

> Give the missionary position a go.

> Make love with the woman on top.

> Focus on her pleasure — if the woman orgasms before her partner, you can decorate your nursery in pink.

> Take the lead — if the woman initiates sex, you'll get a girl.

Well an old wives tale that someone recently told me is girls live longer but boys swim faster. What that means is the male sperm will get to the egg faster than the female sperm, but if you do it days before your wife is supposed to ovulate, the male sperm will die and only the female sperm will be available to penetrate the egg. Sperm can last in the body for up to five days so I say you should have sex five days before she is supposed to ovulate but not the days before or the day of ovulation. I hope this works for you, if not, it's time to buy blue...AGAIN!! lol Good Luck

Yeppers----go out and get the book "Taking charge of your fertility" by Toni Weschler. There is a chapter on this very thing---and there is scientific proof (about 80% effectiveness) about this method---and I'm sorry I forget the name of the method. It's based on many things, but one is that male sperm are faster but don't live long while female sperm are slower but live longer. So timing bd (baby dance) correctly --- in your case, you want to bd a couple days BEFORE ovulation is crucial. This can increase your chances that any male sperm will have died off by the time the egg is released, and the female sperm (who live longer and will still be hanging around) will catch that egg when it is released. Lots more to it---like acidity of the woman's (well, you know...) and position.

There is no absolute positive way to get a girl though there are calendars that claim to help choose the sex of the baby and when to try for a girl, ask your doctor he'll know best and if possible you can always go to one of those doctors that picks out the girl genes then fertilizes the egg. Good luck

well where shall i begin, this is the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth, I was in a hurry to leave my place of work, I was unhappy, the only way I could think of leaving was to have a baby. so I set out to get pregnant, unfortunately I lost this baby, it was a boy.

After suffering a terrible time afterwards, changing doctors, who told me I was suffering from maybe post natal depression, he taught me to relax, one of the best things was to relax at night, by having a hot chocolate milky drink, as I was making one for myself, I made one for my hubby, some two months later I fell pregnant, I had a lovely daughter, My second child was born three years later, this was a boy, I never starting having hot chocolate until I found out I was pregnant, I wanted another daughter so I began making hot chocolate for my husband and myself before trying to become pregnant, guess what? I had a daughter, my last baby (forth) needed to be a son, so no hot chocolate until I became pregnant , I did have a son.

Whether it just work out that way or not, I swear by it, but just because it worked for me, it may not work for anybody else.

There are lots of old-wifey tales about this, like eating different foods rich in different kinds of vitamins etc but it AINT gonna make a blind bit of difference!!
It is in the hands of Mother Nature and whether the X or the Y tadpole is the faster swimmer!

Good Luck.
