I have a 83lb. Black lab. He has a RX for Sentinel. I was wondering if anyone has any problems with www.discountpetdrugs.com. Does anyone deal with them? or is there another way?

try www.petmeds.com they are really good and very fast, sometimes you can even get free shipping!!smile

the vets office tacks on a fee that I know for a fact as I worked at them, it is cheaper online... Interceptor(which is for heartworm prevention as is the Sentinal- Sentinal just has the flea heartworm combo) and frontline combo is the same thing.. if you dont have any issue with fleas then go with interceptor alone.. if you do have an issue with fleas then frontline is way better for fleas....as one other person has stated... but petmeds seemed to be the one calling our practice the most and all the customers really liked them... they give you a guarantee on all products also.. some guarantees are thru the company that makes the products...

EDIT: be careful of the overseas products... The clinic I worked at actually had several people try them and the companies would sell outdated product or we had a couple cases where they repackaged the product.. I would stay away from overseas and stay in this country its not worth it...smile

Sentinel is kinda outdated... it's Interceptor plus a flea growth regulator, it doesn't kill fleas at all, it just keeps them from reproducing. Dr's Foster and Smith and PetMeds Express are the top 2 Internet pharmacies now, but you WILL have to have record of a current heartworm test from a vet's office before they will fill a prescription. Also you don't get any sort of guarantee from an internet pharmacy, if you buy a year's worth from the vet and keep your dog's heartworm test current, then the manufacturer will pay to treat your dog for heartworms if it ever comes up positive for them.

Dealt with them, didn't like em, way over priced. Sentinel is a good HWP. I have gone out of the country for my meds, on-line, that is. Try Australia. Cheaper, same stuff, low shipping.
83lbs, that's expensive. Shop around.

Hi Beth.....I was not satisfied with the one time that I dealt with Discount Pet Meds. Please try Drs Foster and Smith. I wouldn't order from anyone else and they even have live help if you need to inquire about something. Their prices are very reasonable and their service is great! Good luck.

sentinel isn't that for flee's. I have not heard of this company. really personally i found it just as cheap to fill it at the vets. and if anything happens the vet can be held responsible.
