Why do you feel the way you do? Just curious. I believe starts at conception but have friends who believe differently. Just wondered how you feel about it.

I also believe that life begins at conception. Some people don't believe a fetus is a baby, or even human. I strongly disagree with this. I believe that is someone's justification for abortion. Anyway, if the fetus would die, and they dissect it.....it will have all human parts, all human DNA, everything is human about it....so why isn't it human? This of course is only my opinion, and that opinion is not shared by many "experts". I also wonder what makes an expert? I really believe that most of the time, it's a self professed title.

Is a fetus a baby? Technically no. It's a fetus. However. Only a few short days after conception, the cells begin to spasm. That continues and becomes the heartbeat. So I guess it's not technically a bay, but it is alive and capable of becoming one.

I consider a fetus to be a *baby* at the point of viability... which is now as early as 21 weeks, but in the vast bulk of cases is more like 24 weeks.

I think that the fetus begins to develop some human rights at three months.

I watched a documentary once on a fetus from conception to birth and in the beginning, they are just a bunch of cells - hardly a human life. I still couldn't imagine aborting those cells though.

That's kinda a tricky question.1st,let me just clarify that I don't believe in abortion 4 myself. But,I don't judge anybody else.I think that mayb it starts being a baby w/in a few wks.The reason that I don't believe it 2 b at the time of conception is becuz in '93'I lost a baby.I never had a miscarriage.I found out that I was preg w/in the 1st wk of conception. Then, like at about 2mos.,I ended up bk in the hospital. They told me that they shuld've been able 2 c the baby by now. But,they culdn't.Everything{my sack n stuff}kept growing. But,the baby died b4 it was actually a baby. They had 2 do a DNC 2 remove everything.

Locke very reasonably defined a person as "a thinking intelligent Being, that has reason and reflection, and can consider it self as it self..."

A baby, of course, is simply a very young member of a species.

A fetus therefore is a baby, but neither a fetus nor a baby is a person.

The fetus becomes a baby the moment it emerges from the vagina.

To reply to both your question and that guys statement...

If a person doesnt have an arm, are they still a person?

If a person cant speak are they still a person?

What makes a person is there soul, something everyone even an unborn baby has! how many people are you going to say to miscarriages that there baby isnt in heaven?

Didnt think so!
