I no longer have any sound on my computer. I have tried to adjust it on the control panel and the sound icon but neither work. What else can I do?

Go to Control Panel
Click on System
Click on Hardware
Click on Device Manager
Click on the + by Sound,video,game Contollers

*IF* you see any Yellow & Black ! point or Red X REMOVEE them

Shutdown your computer, NOT RESTART

Wait at least minutes then restart computer

Windows SHOULD find and REinstall the drivers

Note: Even IF you don't see the above mentioned ! or X, just remove the sound card drivers anyway, then do the Shutdown procedure

several things could be happening. if you are reffering to a speaker built into the pc then it is probably muted, which can be fixed by going to the volume controll. then click advanced and check the option for pc speaker or internal speaker or something similarrly named.. if you are using external speakers, then you might have blown them out... it is definately blown out if you can smell a burning small or a ozone like smell.
