The plastic piece on the A pillar of my driver's side recently fell off for one reason or another. I'm definitely missing the one screw that holds the piece to the actual metal pillar, it's primarily sealed with adhesive. I don't have the screw but am looking for a temporary solution. What kind of adhesive should I use to glue the plasitic pillar to the rubber (or whatever it is) so as not to damage anything.

Emblem adhesive foam tape would be a good choice, this works on both painted metal and plastic. Use it away from the edges so you can get a tool behind it to remove later.

I would suggest plain old super glue. I've used it on plastic before with good results and it doesn't eat plastic or rubber or anything. Just make sure you really do clean both surfaces with some sort of cleaning alcohol or you'll likely just make a big mess.

You might also check to see if there's a recall on that or, if the car is not still under warranty, if the dealership will work with you on fixing it. Parts falling off 4 year old cars is not something a manufacturer should take lightly.

DON'T USE SUPER GLUE. I suggest that you get some double sided foam tape. Bodyshops use it all the time for things like that. You should be able to buy a small role at Walmart.
