Legally speaking she can use the money towards anything that would benefit the children. That could range from rent/mortgage payments, a new car, even a dream vacation...as long as the kids tag along! So yes, provided she purchased something for the children on the card from time to time, she can indeed use money for this purpose. She can't however pay for the whiskey so I hope you have enough money left over after she pays all her bills!!!

Unfortunately by law she can spend that money on what ever she wants...that is the bad part about child support. The law does say that she should be spending that money on the child (children), however if you were to try and pursue this issue I am sure she would tell the courts that she is paying back on her credit card for items she spent on the children. I am sorry I know it is frustrating...even as a female this situation upsets me...some people are all about cheating the system. If you need to spend more money on the kids throughout the month for clothes and school stuff, make sure you keep the receipts...those you could take to court to prove that she is not using the child support money for what it is intended.

Depends on the case and the state you live in. But in general, as far as I know, she gets the money and then she can do whatever she wants with it.

BUT, that is not how it ends. When you receive child support, you must prove to the government that the kid(s) are being taken care of. That means, they must have food, a house, clothes, education, entertainment, toys, etc, etc.

In many cases, an interview with the kids is held every so often to make sure things are ok.

If you suspect that she is not giving the kids what they need to have, then you can put a claim and the judge will take care of it.

your wife can use the maintenance anyway she sees fit, as long as your kids have a roof over their head, plenty of food and clothing and are growing up in a stable loving environment then what she does with the money is her business, maybe she has credit card bills paying for everyday expenses because she short of cash and then uses the maintenance money to help pay for these purchases, it isnt really any of your business anyway

I believe so. How do you know that her credit card bills do not come from raising your kids? How can you specifically say that the exact money you are giving her goes to credit cards and not food, electric, water, trash, rent, insurance, sports???? As long as your kids are being taken care of I wouldn't say anything!

She can do whatever she wants with child support. If she wants to feed them rice and water and buy herself a few pair of Jimmie Choos, she can. Sucky as it may be, it's the truth. Hopefully she is a better mother than that and puts her children's' needs first. If not, let her have her fun and then file for custody and prove neglect.

I think that is a silly question personally.........

She can spend it on what ever she likes providing your kids are clothed, feed, warm and with a roof over her head......

Her money will pay for all the above things........

It is difficult splitting up xxxxxxxxxxxxx
