Originally I ordered from Canon a bubble printer Model i550, unfortunetly my printer ceased to work, I contact canon tech service and he could fix it, so I am out of a printer, but I still want to stay with Canon, What Model do you suggest that is closest to the i550 that I had originally I use it to print black & white text in draft mode, et. al., and also print scanned photo's using Glossy Photo paper with excellent results. I am tired of going to Consumer Reports and asking them what they think, I believe Canon know there equiptment far better. I await your suggestion on a model that I originall had. Thanks

The i550 is a great little printer, perfect for what you're doing and you won't find ink that's cheaper than what your i550 uses!

Copy and paste "refurbished Canon i550 printer" (without the quotes) into the search field at the bottom of this page. Click "Search the Web" to find a vendor and buy it online for cheap!

Or, just go to Amazon.com to see what they sell for.

I had an i550, and when it broke down it was horrible. In it's lifetime, the printer never really dried the ink that it printed on the paper. I purchased on Epson and it's probably the best investment I've made in a printer. I know you want to stay with Canon, but you got to let go. Epson is far better.
