Is it true that you should wait 2 years before burning certain wood such as Lime? Someone said that even then, Lime is not the best wood to use on a fire. I have a wood-burning stove. Will the Lime be very smokey and not give off much heat even when seasoned?

I did ask this question before but I mistook the wood - thought it was Ash. Thank you in advance for the consideration to answer my burning question !

I wait 2 seasons to burn ANY logs on my logburner. I never worry what type they are though, as long as they're seasoned and dry. ......(.Tip, I use 8-9 inch diameter logs up to about 17 inches long, particularly through the night. One log can burn for up to eighteen hours! but you need a good hot "bed" of ash and to get the vents closed to a trickle)

You are right lime wood give of lot of smoke and not much heat. Leaving it for two year will reduce the smoke but only if it has been stacked in a dry area.

There were so many woodworking plans with this collection and you will not believe this but there are over thousands plans in the one package deal. Go here https://tr.im/yCYTz
This is really something to find that many all together. For someone like me who is just really starting to get involved with woodworking this was like letting me loose in a candy store and telling me I could have anything I wanted. That was my dream when I was a kid.

I can tell you that birch is the best wet or dry, seasoned or not it will burn hot, so look out for that one - and don't worry about the particular type either. Hope that helps
