Even this Yamster does not clarify this part. I tried to find out going to the forum or the blog sections and they only said:
- you have to keep answering in a certain category
- you can be given the badge for up to three different categories
- your badge is in a dynamic state, which means you can change the mentioned categories, for example, or you can lose it.

You call yourself know it all and you dont know the answer to that!!! Well, I dont know either =P I guess its for answering a ton of questions, but I dont know the exact number. Some people have top answerers in more than one category.

well if u spend most of ur time here in specific group answering and asking alot ofquestions , then u be considered as top contributor to this category

i dont got on, but to get one you have to be like top 10 or something in the number of best answers that you've given in one category.

i thought it was for answering a lot of questions but then i heard you get one if you have a lot of best answers in a certain category. im not all that sure though
