If section means, place under a suicide watch, then yes.
Here in the U.S., you are placed on a 5150 (Danger to self or others, or suicidal) for a period of 72 hours. During this time, your civil rights are stripped, and you must be under the treatment of a psychologist in a psychiatric facility. At anytime during the stay, the psychologist can extend the stay if he feels you are still a danger to yourself or someone else.
