If consumers were completely informed ... they wouldn't be consumers.
The problem with all the hype that you get fed is that operating costs of a lot of these units never mention (and here it comes even the selling company uses this one) is the cost of consumables.
Its those consumables that make companies money. Think of the last time you went out and bought a simple printer, dirt cheap price, it even came with ink cartridges, maybe some photo paper. You printed a couple of pages, a few pictures and the cartridges were empty. Just a started cartridge, so you go out to buy more and guess what ... the ink costs more than the printer.
Consumerables are where the money is and whether its a business machine or a home user, they never tell you everything.
