I do. Im 14 so thus prooving the young generation does more than text and IM. I love reading. I have so many books some are piling onto the floor. i actually, kinda dorkish here, think it would be cool to be a librarian in some huge library when i am older. i could just read all the time. My favorite books are mystery books and i like reading CSI and Monk novels. I also like classic stuff too, like i read lots of classic books when I was younger like Little Women and Oliver, and tons of stuff.

All in all, yes, I do read- most of the time a book.

I've read seven books so far this year, so I guess there are lots more like me. My brother read 60 books one year.

This year I read: The Alchemist, The Pursuit of Happyness, The Freedom Writers' Diary, Teach from the Heart, The Soul of a Butterfly, Finding My Father (McKuen), and The Tao of Muhammed Ali. I am now reading Measure of a Man by Sidney Poitier.

BESIDES reading questions and answers here on yahoo answers, I read daily. It's as much a part of my life as anything else in my life. I take books with me everywhere, the doctors office, on car rides, to bed. I tend to stay away from romance though. I know many women who read those but to my mind, reading one is like reading another.
The genres I DO read are sci/fi, fantasy, horror, and historical fiction. At the moment I am reading 'Blood Bound' by Patricia Briggs, and when I'm done with that, the next one I picked out is 'People of the Lightning' by Kathleen O'Neal Gear and W. Michael Gear.
The librarians know me by sight as well as name, since I am there 2 times a week. I read a regular thickness novel in, on average, every 2 days.
Any other questions? I got to go. I'm up to a very good part in 'Blood Bound' and want to see how it ends as I only have about a chapter and a half left!

i do! all the time. it's what i love best to do. i have a book sitting about a foot from me right now that i'm in the middle of and am going to start reading again in a few minutes. books are my favorite man-made thing there is. i want some day to work in a library (i'm just a teen now) that way i could just stay after work and read for hours. when i read nothing else really matters.
peace

Of course kiddo ;) However, the general population doesn't read for fun any more. It's really depressing. My ears bleed whenever some shallow airhead complains about having to read something. It's disgusting. People are totally devolving. *sigh* I've always loved reading classics. LOVED!!! =^-^= I read EVERY NIGHT! ALL THE TIME! I started reading classics like The Hobbit in 3rd grade to cope with family issues. I ended up reading half the library. Heh. Never thought my family troubles would benefit me later in life! It always makes me sick to hear teens these days complaining about the book they're reading in class. Those dumb-asses will end up creating a generation of morons. MAGBASA!!!

Yes, I do! Actually, I read anywhere from 3 to 5 books a week and some weeks~more. But I love to read and I know several other people that love to read also~books~not just magazine or newspaper articles.

I keep a stack of books on hand from the public library and read a bit every day. When I hit a really good book, I often finish it in one to two days.
Lots of the ladies living on my street belong to book discussion groups. Reading is alive and well!

I love to read! I'm a Teacher's Aid during my last period at my school and the administrator that I TA for doesn't have me do anything so I spend all my time reading books. In fact I'm working on the books by Tom Clancy at the moment. They're good.

I've read 17 books so far in 2007. Take a look at LibraryThing.com if you'd like to join a large community of readers.
