Double click on the time on your task bar. A window will pop up. Select the Time Zone tab at the top of that window. Put a check mark in the box labeled "Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes." Click OK. Then, your computer will always change when it is supposed to.

If you have Windows XP with service pack 2, make sure you have automatic updates turned on. Start... Settings... Control Panel... Automatic Updates. Set it to automatically download and install updates. If you have a broadband internet connection, the rest will happen automatically. If you have a dialup internet connection you will need to dial in and let the updates download. You may be prompted to reboot a couple of times before it is all done.

For earlier versions of Windows (NT4/2000/XP/2003) -- or for a shortcut for XP SP2, even -- download this really easy DST updater:

Windows 3.1 / 95 / 98 you are out of luck... you will have to manually set your clock forward on March 11, and BACK on April 8.

your pc should automatically update ..... but seeing as how you think it wont for some miraculous reason here we go ...
1. right click your time
2. adjust date and time
this will pull up a window ... Date and Time properties ..
you should have 3 tabs
Date & Time ... Time Zone ... Internet Time
choose Time Zone .... and you will see a map ... and there will be a sentence of text w/ a box on the left side ... the text will read
"automatically adjust clock for daylilght savings time"
click the box and you should be et .... but if that doesnt work you can go back to the Date & Time tab and just change the time to 1hr ahead and be sure to click Apply
