If you can prove that You did work on a house you could put a lien on the house. Then it could'nt be sold with out proof of paying you and your cancelation of the lien. This works in some states and it may be a way to get your money.

You're a bricklayer, you're probably built up pretty good muscles, pound the snot out of the responsible party. Or simply tell him you'll slap a lein on the house. Get a lawyer (no matter which you decide to do ;-)

Easy question...
In my opinion I think you are better off with the other motorcycle.

Also this makes me think that if you did not even notice that you are in the wrong category then the question is DID YOU DO A GOOD JOB??? Maybe thats the problem!!!

Ride your motorcycle up to his front window and throw a brick through it and ride away.

But seriously folks, the certified letter/court routine is about your best bet.

Did you do this job while riding a motorcycle?

Put a lien on the property you worked on, and refuse to remove it until you are paid.

Put a lien on the house he's building after you threaten to haul his *** into court. Be assertive but not aggressive.
All the best.

Not sure why your question is in motorcycles....but, did you sign any type of contract? Are you in a union? Maybe they can help you get your money for the job.
