there are several things that you can do to wipe your computer, one thing is to do a complete format and start from the ground up, using formatting program that can be put on a floppy and booted from

http://www.killdisk.com/

also, if you have the original disks that came with your computer, then shut down your computer and boot it back up with the cd that was included in your brand new computer package. it should come up to a window that has many options including formatting and re-loading the os... some of these disks have a hidden advanced menu that can be accessed by pressing alt and backspace. however, unless you are an experienced user, i would not recommend it as it can seriously mess up your pc if you don't know what you are doing. also you can use the previously mentioned formatting software and then boot off of the windows cd.. first, before any of these radical steps, make sure that you can't use windows system restore, as it is a lot less rough on your computer... after you get your computer running, DO NOT INSTALL EVERYTHING AT ONCE... the first day that it works, only do windows updates and any bios updates available from the website of the company that manufactured your pc... after that only install one piece of software a day starting with anti virus (i would recommend AVG because the free version is wicked powerful and easy to use). the reason for only installing one thing a day is that this allows you to play around with your pc and make sure that the latest piece of software that you installed is not messing up your computer. also, defragment often, and use firefox because internet explorer from Microsoft sucks...

provided that your laptop's not easypersistent is now completely empty (after wiping out all records), there is not any incorrect way which you will positioned an working device on it different than by using installation the working device from a bootable CD-ROM. yet provided that your laptop can not study the Vista installation CD, it appears that evidently to be an helpless subject. i won't be able to think of of an undemanding answer for this subject. As your laptop does not have any working working device anymore, then there is not any way which you will replica records to its not easypersistent from any source (floppypersistent, CDpersistent, USBpersistent, etc). An period in-between answer is to place in XP on it (in case you have the XP installation CD). there is a surprising risk that your laptop can boot from an XP installation CD. Now, consisting of your laptop working on XP, you may replica records to its not easypersistent from any exterior source. For the period in-between, on your exterior not easypersistent, you may extract the Vista records from the ISO document and replica them to a subdirectory on an identical exterior not easypersistent (you prefer UltraISO, PowerISO, or WinISO as a manner to extract the contents of the Vista ISO document). Now, connect the exterior not easypersistent on your laptop's USB (it is working on XP) and replica the extracted Vista records to a itemizing on your laptop's not easypersistent. once you achieved the copying, seem for the Vista setup document interior the laptop's not easypersistent itemizing. Run the setup document and you at the instant are set to go with the Vista installation. After polishing off the Vista installation, you may then do away with the previous XP records out of your laptop's not easypersistent. wish this helps...

you need to reformat the hard drive and reinstall windows. Then, once you get all of the necessary drivers installed for all of your drives and components, use Norton Ghost to make an image of the hard drive.

if you ever need to do something like this again, you can simply boot from the Norton ghost program CD and us the image file you made to restore the hard drive again. This is much easier than reinstalling the OS and all of the drivers again.
