The Bible states that there is not one good save for Jesus Himself. He was the only sinless God/man to walk the earth. The Bible defines other wonderful qualtities like kindness, forgiveness, honesty, honoring our parents, even praying for our leaders, but goodness is really not in us until we receive the Saviour. One verse does instruct us to Taste and see that God is good. He is holy and we can only strive to be like Him.

It depends, some would say it's whatever god says is good, others would say even god has restrictions on his behavior because of some general sense of "good"

Was god being "good" when he killed all the 1st-born in the land of Egypt? Some say yes, simply b/c he is god. Others say, he was angry and punishing them and he is not always all-loving.
