The best one is made by Fisher Price and is called Power-Plus Plug-In Swing is just the basic front to back swing and the cool stuff about this swing is also electrical powered. The front to back motion holds more pounds than the side to side. Also the side to side swings breaks down alot faster(Trust me).

also you will be saving a lot of money in the initial purchase and also in batteries.

Happy Swinging!!!

I recommend the Fisher Price Rainforest swing. My son got it for Christmas and it is the best thing ever. We registered for both the Fisher Price Aquarium wwing and the Aquarium travel swing, and we got the travel swing. That is OK for travel, but, it does use batteries and the lights and music don't stay on indefinitely.

When my Mom and I went to buy the stationary swing, we looked at the Aquarium swing, but we also looked at the Rainforest swing, which was fairly new on the market in December. The main "pro" of the Rainforest swing over the Aquarium swing is that the Rainforest swing PLUGS IN! It is wonderful. My son can spend up to 8 hours a day in the swing some days, and we never have to change batteries, though it also has a battery mode.

Other features I like about the swing:
-swing away mobile with open and close leaves around the bright and colorful animals
-bright colors
-padded seat
-snack tray
-2 way swing (the chair rotates to swing back and forth or side to side)
-4 sound modes - lullabies, upbeat music, rainforest animal sounds, and rain type sounds
-several swing speeds

Plus, it is sturdy and doesn't take up all that much room. The seat construction is also nice - the "pipe" that holds the seat goes underneath the seat, rather than just being attached at the back. So it provides extra safety.

My son loves it. He plays in it, sleeps in it, even watches Baby Einstein in it. I highly recommend this swing.

I also had the fisher price aquarium swing and both my kids loved it. I have seen and liked the papasan one too, but my kids already had a swing. I would look for something that has music, sounds (the nature sounds that Fisher Price offered worked best for mine as they fell asleep). I also love the option of forward or side swinging. My second baby loved the side swinging, while my first loved the forward motion. It also had volume control and a setting to go fast or slow.

it somewhat is all as much as you....climate you have or prefer to spend the money. in my opinion a toddler bouncer replaced into not properly well worth the money my Damian did not like the bouncer. additionally the bouncer is extremely not waiting to hold toddler's weight for greater that some months. I advise a toddler swing. a toddler swing could be used way longer that a bouncer. ask your self some questions with regard to the stroller will or not it somewhat is use on a regular basis? or purely to visit run errands? i offered a very high priced trip device and now that Damian is a million 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous i'm questioning approximately switching to a umbrella stroller simply by fact it somewhat is plenty lighter that a large stroller. in case you're gentle with it I say purchase the greater value-effective stroller. i'm sorry you lost a toddler yet congratulation on your new twins.

We actually have two swings, we bought the swing that matched his Graco stuff and he loves it. It also has a mobile on it. Then we have the fisher price travel aquarium swing. He is kind of wishy washy with that one. But I like that one because you can pack it up and take it with you and doesn't require much space.

Fisher price baby papasan cradle swing. My daughter would sleep in nothing else during the day for the first few weeks. Plus you can change positions from swinging back and forth to rocking side to side. A great option for the hard to please.

I love the aquarium swing by Fisher Price. It swings side to side and forward back. My kid hated the side to side, but nice to have options. But full size swings are big, so if you have limited room consider a travel swing.

We have a Graco. Make sure you get one that has an adjustable seat that can be reclined, and that you can lift the tray to put the baby in/take the baby out. In my opinion, you only need 2-3 speeds, not up to the 8 I've seen on some models.
