I want a really nice name for my baby. I know it's still early as i'm only 8 weeks but planning is good i think. For girls i like: Libby, Lexie, Madelyn, Reese and Lottie.
Boys: Max, Riley, Zack, Rory or Kai (pronounced Kye)
Any thoughts on these? What do you prefer? Me and my fella like some of these each and can't agree lol! Or any other suggestions? Thanks

Libby - thats a nickname not a name(also a brand of canned foods) and its not a good nickname
Lexie - my friend Jen's cat is named that
Madelyn - very very trendy but nice
Reese- also very trendy - both names are a dime a dozen you would be better off w Lisa or Michelle - they would be the only one w those names in thier grade!
Lottie- thats horrible
Max- my friend Kelly's cat and my brother's dog
Riley- is super trendy but for girls
Zack - again w the super trendy names
Rory - now a girls name thanks to Gilmore Girls
Kai - never heard of that one so I guess you could file it under unique

I love Madelyn for a girl. But Libby, Lexie, and Lottie sound a little too bubbly to me. I think maybe Zachary for a boy? Riley is my daughter's little boyfriend's name...but it's being used a lot for girls now too. Rory and Kai make me think of girls too. And Max is used for dogs a lot, so that's what I think of.

I like the name Riley for a girl. I love the name Libby, my husband and I have an angel in heaven named Libby.
Lexie is the name of my best friends daugher, (Lexi) short for Alexis.

My husband and I were undecided on names, we ended up with Claire or Demelza for a girl, my husband said her couldn't spell Demelza when drunk, so he picked Claire.
There are several names to choose, try to think of how the child will feel, later on in life, how will the name sound when the child is grown up, some names are lovely when children are babies, but sound awful on a grown up person (I'm thinking of some of the names celebs have called their offspring)
I like the some of most of your names, but my favourites of the boys names are Max and Zack. I think Lottie is the one I would not use for my daughter.
Saying that the choice is up to your fella and yourself; you as parents will have the final say,

I live in Hawaii - lots of Kais here (it means ocean), but on the mainland, it will just be another unusual name that will get made fun of.
Parents who think they are being unique by putting odd names on their children are doing them a grave disservice.
How would you like to have a name that everyone would make fun of in school ? Kids do that to each other, fact of life.
What's wrong with Matthew or Michael or Kelly or Lisa?

I liike all the names you have picked out! Madelyn was what we were going to name ours if it was a girl so that's my first choice, my 2nd choice for a girl is Reese. For boys I like Riley. Here are some other suggestions: girls: Emerson, Anastacia, Aurora Boys: Hudson, Cavin, Keegan. Good Luck!
