I contacted the post office last month and they weren't much help. They blamed me for mailing too many packages (I was moving and mailed other packages during that time) even though both had delivery confirmation and showed they had not been delivered. Plus I mailed a third package at the same time and it arrived. I've never had a problem with the post office before so I didn't bother insuring them. I believe foul play is involved because the 2 lost packages were media mail with dvds, books, video games (probably valued together at $1000). But the post office continues to blame me even though I didn't lose them. How did they lose 2 very large packages yet the other one arrived (also media mail)? Should I contact the police?

I contacted usps.com last month and consumer affairs weren't much help. Should I contact the police?

The post office blaming you is lame. Go to usps.com and use Contact Us and tell them. They are a little more closer to the Postmaster General and you tell them your post office is blaming you for mailing too many packages.. you watch those jerks jump when the hammer comes down on them.

They have a track number and even though they say they can't track it with delivery confirmation they can and have.. I give you odds if you tell them at usps.com what happened your packages will miraculously appear within 10 days.

If you were shipping packages valued $1000 or more you should have had it insured. The post office is reliable but sometimes packages are lost. Valuable packages should be signed for. If they are large packages it would be easier to send ot through UPS and it could be traced. Priority mail can be traced also.

well f you had have used UPS then you could find it fast using the tracking number on yer reciept but since you used USPS the united states post office , then you caint very well track it down using a ups number lol however you can go back to the post office where you mailed it wif yer reciept and put a tracer on the packages. I think it cost money too. but knowing how the post office works then I would say its probably been put in some bin to be x rayed or sniffed by the department of homeland security. they love to hold up packages especially if you have wrote the address sloppy by hand and not used proper packaging offered by the united states post office etcetera 1 hahahaha I aint a post man by the way.

You should have been given a tracking number, and I would get on the phone with someone to track them down.

To be honest - this is why no matter if you had a problem before or not you should always insure anything of value. Think of the hundreds of thousands of packages flying around the country at any given moment......something is bound to go amiss.

Get on the phone to UPS and find out what is going on. There should be a tracking number that they can trace.

There should be tracking numbers on your receipts. Make them look it up.
