I have made the Soccer Team here at school. Well... the soccer Coaches told me I was no good. They said they should of never chose me. They even threatend me once. They now don't let me play at any of the soccer games. I sit on the bench the whole time now. I think I should quit, but all my friends are on the soccer team. With my friends on the Team, I get to see and talk to them more. What do you think I should do??

Playing sports in high school can be very interesting. Coaches sometimes go over the edge with comments and idle threats. Depending on the "threat" you were given you can talk to your parents or the School Board at your school.

I dont encourage quitting so I wont say quit but I would say if your working hard and still not getting any kind of playing time and your unhappy then I wouldnt stay on the team.

You can always spend time with your friends around their soccer schedule. Dont feel you wont have time to be with them if you quit the team and they stay on it.

If you feel your sense of security is really being threatened, talk to your parents about the issue or possibly another coach/gym teacher you feel open with. Playing a sport just to see your friends isn't a very good reason to stay involved with an activity. You should stay because you love soccer.

Threatened? Tell parents, warn the principle. The coaches are not mature enough to be coaches.
