There are several ways to download video clips from Youtube. Probably the simplest ways is to use the free Keepvid website (http://keepvid.com/). To use it, copy the URL of the video clip you want to download (e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whatevervideo). Next, go to Keepvid website and paste the URL in the empty box. To the right of the box, select Youtube and then click [Download]. The website will generate a download link, which appears just below where you enter the URL. Click on the download link and your web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera...) will download the clip. Repeat this for all the video clips you are interested in.

After you watch the video in their viewer window, go to your temporary internet files folder and look for a file with the extension .flv. look for the one with the most current date and time. copy this file into your my docs folder. To watch it, you will need a player that can play flv files (flash video). Windows media player won't play it. the one I like is vlc media player at http://www.videolan.org
