How much is your rent in the LA area? More specifically, Santa Monica/West LA area?

I found a pretty nice place for 1795 a month, but that might be little high for my roommate and I.

That's probably about right for that area. L.A. Rents are absurd, which is why I left California. Bought land and built a house in North Carolina for 1/5 of what it would have cost in CA.
