You can play basketball. The kids answer a question and if they are right they have the chance to make a basket for an extra point. You can buy a little hoop at the dollar store or even use a box or the trash can.

You can play the flyswatter game. Put a bunch of key words all over the chalkboard. Divide the class into 2 teams and give each one a flyswatter. Ask a question. The first person to hit the correct answer gets a point. Make the rules VERY clear. NO hitting each other. The students may hit ONE and only ONE answer. Otherwise they just randomly hit as many as they can without caring about knowing the answer.

Draw a board game and photocopy it. You may possibly be able to find one online to print out. Make several questions (type and then photocopy). Cut them apart and place in envelopes. Divide the class into groups of 3 or 4. They can use whatever they want for space markers (coins, erasers, etc.). Get some dice (dollar store again). The kids roll the die and then pick a question. If they get the question right they move forward that number of spaces. If they are wrong; they go backward.

Concentration. If your teacher has a sentence board then you can use notecards and place them in the sentence board. You could also get sticky magnets and place them on the notecards, or you can use a transparency and use little sticky notes to cover the words. Use words and then their definitions or character descriptions, etc. and in order to have a match they have to know the points of the story.

Play tic tac toe. Tape up questions on the board as if it were a tic tac toe board. The teams choose the spot that they want. If they answer correctly then they get to mark their X or O in the spot. If they miss it then the other team gets a chance to steal the question (or you can have another question in case the other team wants that spot). Additional questions are needed in the case of true and false, etc.

Hope these help. You can buy candy for the winners, or buy Smarties for the winners... and Dum-Dums for the losers!

solid question. Yahoo relatively has a rule that an answer is had to adress the question. occasion: What color is the sky? answer: i like airplaines. in spite of the actuality that "i like airplanes." isn't, needless to say, offensive, it fails to adress the question in a mildly sufficient way. If readers flag it, yahoo has a mechanism which will eliminate your answer or question (each so often with out any authorized individual relatively checking it and pulling the plug on it, I convey jointly). Flags are a equipment and additionally you will't flag in case you abuse it and flag inappropriately, menacingly. (i think of it downgrades the fee of a flag while it comes from somebody who flags inappropriately). Yahoo's mechanism has a fashion of checking your trend of flagging human beings too. long answer, yet, "i do no longer." is very virtually the comparable as purely answering somebody's question via typing "hi." needless to say, it possibly attracted varied flags. i do no longer know the two, the call of the music, yet while i wished to respond to, i could have contributed "i'm thinking of elvis and a on line casino for some reason." in spite of includes strategies is each so often valuable. And it somewhat is not going i could have been flagged, even nevertheless i did no longer relatively know the respond the two.
