Every time I get cut up, or some idiot tailgates, they're always driving a beemer. Is there some sort of test to prove you can't drive before they'll sell you one?

A bit of a generalisation because there are bad drivers in all makes of car, but BMWs do seem to attract a certain "type". Let's be honest, they're not particularly great cars, but some people do seem to regard them as a statement vehicle, and I suspect that it is that sort of person who has the "my car is better than yours attitude" which leads to poor driving.

Because people who drive beemers know how to show off their cars buy driving fast. They're kind of being idiots but really they are just trying to show off to the the world that they have a BMW and they want people to know that it can go fast.

Strange that you pick this marque, I was warned by a friend in the North of Scotland that it was BMW's and Saab's that would be passing at speeds about 50% higher than the speed limit on the A9 and all other roads, he proved correct.
May be the brains are removed as these marques have the full driver survival kit fitted so that it doesn't matter how badly they drive the car will enable them to survive, and to hell with all others on the road.

Most BMW drivers are as confident and able as the cars they drive. BMW drivers have a purpose and goals when we are behind the wheel. We are very aware and alert drivers. Driving a is not a necessity, it's a pleasure.
And it would probably be safe to say that BMW drivers are the most capable drivers on the road considering the average driver.
That's why we drive BMW's, the car amplifies our ability to drive.
I'm sorry that you have encountered some of the more confident drivers, but if you where as alert and aware as the BMW drivers you would have moved out of they way long before the close encounter ever occurred.
"Slower traffic keep right" that's one of the rules of the road, I follow this rule and I never get cut off or ran off the road because I'm out of the way before it ever happens.

It is your imagination. Try driving in Arizona where the same type of idiot is in some sky-jacked 4x4 and thinks they own the road becuase they're in some 5000 lbs beast. How about you get out of the left lane and allow others to pass instead?
I drive a 330 and don't act like you're describing.
Darn they're fun though!

Most drivers of ALL CARS are idiots. You're just noticing the BMWs. Also, you probably live in an area where they're popular.

Because generally speaking, the generation that drives BMWs experimented with a lot of mind altering drugs in the 60s and 70s,sorry for any spelling errors I'm trying to use my laptop while driving my BMW!

It's because BMWs are a favourite of sales reps, who, by the nature of their work, tend to replicate their forcefulness on the roads. Same as the school run SUV'ers who apply their blondeness to the roads.

i drive a bmw and i am a good driver, no accidents in 20 years. i find that other drivers assume that you are up your own ar.se if you drive one and try and cut you up as if to put you in your place. i never tailgate, its stupid and dangerous and i would never put my (or anyones) kids in danger.we only got ours as a treat after a sh.it.ty year in which our other car (an astra, which i prefer,) was torched, it was our way of showing we wouldnt be beaten
