How do you see sexism in other countries were little girls are killed and men/boys are seen as 'better'?

The more I read and the more I know about what's going on, it totally sickens me. And to the clueless...it's not just China where this is going on. This has been going on in India for the last several years except that they don't have a one child limit at this time. Rather female babies are murdered at birth left to die, or aborted before birth. Women are shunned, women who can't seem to conceive a male baby are treated like outcasts by even her family. Women have multiple abortions and multiple babies. There is basically a shortage of women in India because of this...sometimes wives are sold from one to another once she has lost her usefulness to her husband. Often Indian men spend too much time on the Internet harassing females of other countries (I've been harassed so much it's pathetic) because they can't find women in their own country. Sad state of affairs over there, it truly is.

Females. Countries such as Canada and the U.S.A are thankfully not part of this horrid problem but it doesn't mean it doesn't occur.Even is such rich and prosperous nations such as China, women are harassed repeatedly. They are sold into slavery and abused in every way possible. Why? Because religion dictates every family must have a son but the law says a family can only have one child so these girls are sold. In the Middle East many are married off at the age of five to settle debts. They are considered to be worth less because of extremists (not Muslims so don't yell at me). In India, female fetuses are aborted or abandoned after birth because if they keep females they will eventually have to pay a dowry when the girl marries.
In my opinion the only way to stop this is to spread education to BOTH men and women. Men must learn to let go of old traditions and beliefs. Women must learn that they can control their own lives and have the right to take action.
Education= A better world period

Define particular acts of sexism. You say the Middle East but in the Middle East women roles are defined. In America, where they are not they are out of control. Women walk around the beach with a thong on and wonder why they get raped. Look at the children of the US that are suffering because mom is a hoe and would rather sleep around rather than raise her kids. I think this is harsher treatment than any traditional Muslim country.

It doesn't just happen in China. It's like in Iraq too. Maybe other places I don't even know about but it's just unfair.

Huh.. This happens in CHINA only and it is because they are very crowded over there and they are trying to reduce their population size.
