I have long hypothesized that heterosexuality is a genetic defect. The weird thing is that the defect has allowed the species to survive. The natural, homosexual tendency appears suppressed due to the prominence of the heterosexual defect.
I do not hold anything against heterosexuals because of this. I accept them as my equal regardless. Many of them are quite nice.

Yes, I am a defect. I CHOOSE to be straight but I'm getting out of the mental ward soon & hopefully I shall see my errors & change lol

how many times have i read this question but directed at gays and lesbians. why has everyone reacted so negatively towards straight people in their answers. hetrosexuality and homosexuality are neither mental diseases or defects. so grow up for gods sake!

It is a choice that some people make based on the evil spirit of the Flying Spaghetti Monster that wells up within them.
I hear there are camps that can "cure" this now, staffed by Harvey Fierstein, Melissa Etheridge, and others.
I hope that people can recognize irony and sarcasm when they see it, and that this question is as ridiculous as one where one substitutes "LGBT" for "heterosexuality."

Its genetic. Orientation is decided just like hair color and eye color. Heterosexuality is just the common trait like how 87% of the world's population is right handed.

yes its a defect because we really want to not have any more childeren so we can't have the human race live on. Put an end to the human race.
