Is it possible for me to marry an Amish woman?

I'm serious. I want a really chaste woman.

I'd kinda like to live the life of an Amish, but then there again I just want a chaste woman, an Amish woman who would convert to the modern but at the same time be protestant. I love technology so I don't know if I could live the Amish lifestyle. I love God though, I do.

Unless you are also Amish, which if you are using the internet, you are not - you don't stand a chance of marrying an Amish girl. Being Amish is not just a religion, it is a LIFESTYLE of hard work, without modern convenience, simplicity, (they don't even allow thier picture to be taken with thier knowledge) - community (they are totally dedicated to each other - and give NO THOUGHT for themselves) and most importantly, they live holy lives before God. Amish women are chaste because God commands it. Can you say the same? If not, I suggest you forget it. They won't even give you the time of day about giving you one of thier women unless you become one of them. Although if you're serious about thier way of life - and want to give up all rights to yourself and your current way of life, become Amish...then maybe.

I suggest you find yourself a good protestant girl with traditional beliefs, they are just as chaste in most cases. The amish have a time period that they can go out on their own to see if they want to return to their amish community (I think between the ages of 19-22). I guess if you eased your way into knowing an amish girl then you might be able to talk her into staying with you...doubtfull...but not impossible.

You might have a better chance of marrying a Mennonite woman. Mennonites take their religious beliefs as serious as the Amish, but they don't avoid modern technology. However, the Mennonites live a simplistic life, so they don't have the newest and best of everything.

sure, but you would have to become a committed Amish man first before the Amish elders in her community would let you near her, let alone marry her, especially if she is a committed member of the Amish church.
