My family is going to New York this summer and we are going to a Yankees day game...any advice (parking, neighborhood, at the ballpark, etc.)?

Try to get there early and park at the Stadium Parking deck. Stay close to the stadium and eat over at Stans before the game. Don't eat inside because the prices are nuts. Trust me.

If you are staying in Manhattan, you can take the subway (4 Train).

It avoids the whole parking hassle/cost and takes you right to the stadium in about 20 minutes or so from Grand Central.

Some people are intimidated by the subway, but it is totally different than it was years ago and will be packed with other Yankee fans getting psyched for the game.

Also you will be able to get out after the game much quicker than if you drive.

One thing to note is that if you want to see Monument Park you should get there at least an hour and a half before game time (there is always a big line and it closes 45 min before game time).

Arrive there early, and don't eat inside the stadium.
