Hi everyone!
I am a little fustrated. I am a 5 days late on my period and have all the symptoms of being pregnant. Sore breasts, light cramping, slight nausea...ect. I have taken 3 home preg test and all were negative. The last one I took was at a docs office and it was a blood test and it was negative, but still no period...my symptoms are getting worse. Has anyone experienced this, but ended up being pregnant? Also, I remember from my first pregnancy that after being a week late, the doc couldn't ended up doing a blood test because the urine test came up "inconclusive". Weird eh? Thanks in advance for all your help.:)

If your cycles are ever irregular (like most women's are) you may only *think* you are 5 days late. That does not mean that you aren't pregnant, buy the pee-on pregnancy tests are only accurate at detecting the pregnancy hormones once you really have missed your period (that's why they say to wait 5 days before taking another one...its not that they don't work, but that your levels are not high enough yet). Also, check out http://www.fertilitygal.com/Signs-and-Symptoms-of-Pregnancy/Breast-Tenderness.htm for a complete list of the symptoms of pregnancy.

The mind is a powerful force. If you really want to be pregnant, you might be tricking your body into thinking that you are!

If you really DON'T want to be pregnant, the first day your period was late you started obsessing about pregnancy and tricked your body into reacting. A Dr's blood test most likely is not wrong, so know that you are not pregnant. Just relax and don't worry about it for a while and your body will return to its normal cycle soon!

I've never experienced this, but I'd recommend waiting another week or so, and trying tests again if your period hasn't coming. The symptoms you describe actually things I tend to experience during PMS.
www.peeonastick.com may help you out some. Good luck!

If you took a home test...it's very common to get a false negative. You should have a blood test done to be sure it's negative, and if it is then you can ask about the symptoms. ;)

The test uses hormones to tell you wether or not you are pregnant you may not have enough of the hormone in your body for the test to pick up.
you may also NOT be pregnant....sometimes if you think you are pregnant and think about it alot your body will take on the symptoms!!! go to your doctor they can tell you for sure!!!
