I wouldn't say the 'majority' of people are agreeable to anything. Just check out the Politics or Religion and Spirituality categories of Y! Answers--and you'll see what I mean.
Some people are easily agreeable, but that doesn't mean that they truly agree with you. Some people just like to 'keep the peace,' -- or 'not make any waves'.
Some other people are born followers--which means that they will never be leaders. They follow the crowd, and do whatever everyone else is doing. These people generally don't have minds of their own.

I used to be very agreeable, whether I agreed or not because I didn't know enough about things yet. As time went on and my life experiences taught me things, I became more sure of my thoughts and opinions. Then I stood up for what I thought. Some times it is easier just to agree than it is to really confront how we really feel about an issue. Some times, what is the point about being disagreeable, would it solve anything? Some times we are just superficial, and we want everyone to like us so we are agreeable to everything...what is true for some isn't for others...that's all, that's all I can think of at the moment.

because the world wants us to all act the same way. because we live in a superficial world that doesn't like outsiders. Those people are superficial and don't think about what truly matters. They only care what others think not them selves. Thats why there are so meany self concious people in the world. Because the majority of the world wants perfection society cant stand imperfection. like for example if your carring a few extra pounds to most the world u are ugly. another example like if u don't ware nice close everyday the world most will resent u and think u are worthless.

I think it`s because over the last few hundred years we have learned that violence is only going to end in bloodshed. Look at WW1 and WW2, I mean look at Hitler? Was Hiltler agreeable? I think we`re just trying to keep peace, and we now aknowledge that people have their difference.

Depends on what you're generalising them into being agreeable about.

People are cowards. They would rather be patronizing than standing up for their true beliefs for fear of offending the other. All in the name of goodfellowship and popularity and acceptance.

People want people to like them and they're afraid that if they don't agree with the other person, that person will not think well of them.
