Only if the expected is unexpected, thus you never win
because you're expecting the unexpected which is thus now expected but the expected is unexpected (by logic) so you always are going to run into a situation where you're caught off guard.

I guess you could say that, however the unexpected is usually not clearly defined so how could you know what you expected?
Most folks expect any number of results that are either good or bad. It's more of the feeling than the actual thing or event that we expect.
