With Corporations posting higher and higher profits and the well off getting richer both on the backs and at the expense of the Average Joe, how long will it be before we have class warfare in this country?

It is hard to predict. Something has got to happen in the none too distant future though. Decent paying jobs and manufacturing are all being farmed out to third world countries and immigrants are coming in to take all the menial jobs.

This is life. It never would have been so bad, though, if there hadn't been so much population expansion. There would only so many backs off of which to get rich!
Also, if people weren't buying into so much technology, and the guilt-tripping that our kids do, we wouldn't have nearly the level of purchasing that goes on in order for people to make this kind of money.
Try getting your kids to build thier own toys.
In the 1700's and 1800's, there were no dolls.
Children would take a pile of sticks, wrap them up in vines, and sew a few clothes form scraps.
THat was a doll!
Peopl used to grind their own meat at home, liek my grandparents.
And line-dry there clothes in the sun.
And WALK places, for pete's sake!
WE need MORE MORE MORE.
And the rich rake in the dough.How long will it be?
I'm waiting, honey, I'm hoping. But as long as people have food and shelter, we probably won't wake up!

I BELIEVE THAT WE'RE DAMN CLOSE TO THAT, BUT I THINK THAT AFTER ENRON'S SCANDAL, THE AVERAGE JOE IS GETTING FED UP AND DEMANDING ACCOUNTABILITY. THIS MEANS THAT THE CORPORATIONS AREN'T GETTING AS RICH AS BEFORE, WHICH IN TURN SHRINKS THAT ONCE HUGE GAP BETWEEN THEM AND THE AVERAGE JOE. IT WILL TAKE TIME , BUT WITH ENOUGH PRESSURE, THE CO. WILL NARROW THE GAP THEMSELVES, EITHER BY INCREASING WAGES OR DECREASING SEVERANCE PACKAGES AND THE LIKE.
