..but not so much anymore. However, when I do have a heavy night, I bleed heavily the next day and the pain in my stomach is horrendous! I had a Laparoscopy about a year ago and they didn't find anything. My Doctor thinks I'm having Bowel Spasms, but I really don't think that's what it is.

Anybody else had this? Any ideas as to what going on in there?!

Thanks

Possibly a stomach ulcer? That is aggravated by alcohol. Ask your doctor. He might try an endoscopy.

heavy drinking often gives the drinker stomach and gas problems. Unfortunatly I used to have a desk next to an alcoholic woman who had the worst beer farts during work. They stunk bad and I didn't know why for the longest time.

Ulcers can be treated with antibiotics, as I recently learned they are a result from bacteria in the stomach.

Check you diet. If you get yourself on a good diet that included lots of fresh veggies/fruits you can start to get your stomach back on track.

Don't push the issue aside, my mom has gasritis (sp?)and it's not a picnic.

I'd say that the alcohol may have caused some kind of intestinal irritation or maybe even a stomach ulcer.

it sounds very much like a stomach ulcer please go to your GP and get checked out, heavy drinking can cause a lot of changes in the bowel area so i wouldn't rule this out.
