Right. Otos are tropical and won't do so well at cooler temps.

Actually, otocincluses, while tropical, are one of the suggested bottom feeders that can be kept with goldfish because their temperature requirements are between 68-79 degrees F, and their ph requirements are 5.0-7.5. Additionally, their size remains small and doesn't highly impact the water requirements of goldfish. However, they are more delicate than most catfish and are not for beginners. If they get sick and slow down, the goldfish could eat them.

More importantly, otos are sensitive to water quality and goldfish are notorious ammonia-producers.

I don't know much about them, but I do know that they are tropical.
