My fiance is possibly pregnant and she wants to use an Equate + or - test. Can anyone give me any insight on this? Is it a good test? She has heard bad things about them but wants to know if they are a good test! Are they accurate? Thanks!

We already tried peeonastick.com but they don't have anything for the + or - tests, just the 2 lined ones!

Get the EPT certainty or another digital test that reads "pregnant" or "not pregnant". I got one of the + or - ones the first time I took a test, and got an ambiguous weird - that looked like it might have a faint half line where the plus was. Ended up going back and getting the digital one, it came up right away and there's no decoding of hieroglyphics. I realize I'm in the minority and the other tests probably work fine for most people, but that's my two cents. Good luck!

I got mine from the 99 cents store with both pregnancies and they worked even before I missed my period. I just felt different and thought I was pregnant but didn't want to spend 15 - 20 dollars on a test. Cheap ones work fine. In any case, even if it's a faint line (very light line) on the other side chances are it's correct, both of my tests had very light lines and of course they were accurate. Good luck, try the 99 cent ones or just go to the doctor EVEN MORE ACCURATE!

All the tests usually test the same...they measure a certain level of hormones. I used the equate test first when I suspected I was pregnant and it turned immediately and my period was only 1 day late. Afterwards I went and bought the expensive tests just to double check ... it was all the same.

Good Luck!

I tried equate after 4 days of missed period. I did two times and both time I got positive results. Horizontal line was faint both the times. And I am 7 weeks pregnant now. So go for it.

The equate test is good as long as she's already missed her period. If she's trying to test before missing she'll have to use a pricier brand like EPT or First Response.
