I think you need to take time to heal after a break up, then when you've learned all you can from the situation and are more balanced and happy and neither need nor desire a new relationship it will happen, you just send off better vibes. So you are prob right in thinking that its hard to meet someone after a break up. Be kind to yourself and spend time with good friends, when you least expect it it will happen. No, it is not hard to meet someone worth pursuing--but after a bad break-up you might want to take your time. A 'rebound' romance rarely (if ever) works.
Some advice would be to know a great deal about the next person you become interested in--before dating that person. You really don't want a rerun of the last chapter of your life.
