I am in desperate need of a copy of roots. Does any know where I can find it in Berlin or online? I don't have a credit card so I can't order it.

This small bookstore just off the Knesebeckstrasse sells new and quality used books. They will buy your used books as well. Primarily American literature, but a good smattering of British. Accepts special orders. Friendly, down to earth service.

If you live in Germany, I would make an order at http://www.amazon.de (Amazon in Germany) or try it at http://www.booxtra.de (they even doesn't charge for shipping!!!). If you order at Amazon.com in the U.S., you have to pay import tariffs!!!

And most German bookstores also can order a copy of "Roots" for you within 24 hours as well...and they doesn't charge you for this at all.

Basically, any bookstore should be able to order it for you. Often, they can get books in within a day or two, but sometimes it takes a bit longer - just go to you closest book store and ask. :)

Amazon.com... get a paypal.com account to order the book (they take alternative forms of payment).
