They're not voting on singing ability that's for sure. The judges keep saying to America this is suppose to be a singing contest but I think America's turning the volumn down on that.

The problem with america voting is that none of the people calling in is qualified to determine who can and can't sing. That is apparent by the people who are still there. You should know that if Melinda Doolittle and Lekeisha are not the last two remaining on the show, the show is fake. If america is truely looking for the best singer out of all of them, Melinda Doolittle blows them all away. Besides, if this were truely a voice talent competition, Quincy Jones would be doing the judging. Thank you.

Voters are lazy and stupid.
In order to keep the best contestants in the contest you have to vote for ALL THE BEST CONTESTANTS. Otherwise they can stack the deck against the weaker candidates and force you to vote for only the very strong or very weak candidates. By voting for everyone you like you force them to vote so much that they can not possibly influence the outcome.

Yes. I like some of the top twelve this year, but I think some should not be there. I have others that I like more that were voted off. I don' t know why it's the way it is this year.

I agree. I've been appauled at the number of great singers that have been voted off and the number of terrible ones that have hung on. (uh,...Sanjaya???) I think it has to do with how involved their hometown is with them - the more votes, the more likely to win. It does seem though that eventually, the really good ones win. I figure, the really good ones that have been kicked off will end up with recording contracts anyway.

Something definitely is off this season more that usual. Jennifer Hudson is proof that sometimes the wrong people are voted off. There are two on there now that should have gone home last night. Haley and Sanjaya should have gone home.

no i think randy, paula, and simon gave us a bunch of talentless losers to pick from out of the preliminary auditions. america is voting the best we can to merely pick the best of the worst this year it seems.

It's not that bad. I say if you don't vote for them don't be mad when they get voted off. You could have helped prevent it. And I like Haley Scarnato! She has an amazing voice if anyone would sit and listen to her.

yes they are! and some that actually have a voice are being kicked off! All the judges are saying "this is a singing competition - what are you listening to"?
but all in all I don't think they had a strong group to begin with
