WTF???? I am totally confused by your question. Are you asking why the Statue of Liberty is called that when there are no women in the US named "Liberty"? I am pretty sure there are lots of girls named Liberty. Are you asking if women in the US have liberty? Yes, they do.

In 10th grade I actually had a teacher from Boston named Liberty.

Its symbolic. Supposed to be "motherly". What? You want a guy holding up a can of beer wearing boxer shorts and brown loafers with black socks , TV guide tucked under his other arm greeting you, instead after an ocean journey?
