is it the muffler or exhuast or the whole system

Just the muffler if you want it loud - but why bother? It'll be loud, but sound like crap, and you'll lose power unless the whole system is modified.

Depends on the car. Most car just change the muffler to a bigger/performance muffler and you will get the "voom". On some mercedes you have to remove the center resonator and muffler.

if you want your car to be loud its all about the exaust a bigger exaust will give you more power and tha sweet sound everyone is looking for but if you dont want to change the whole exaust just take your car to mineke and ask them to put a performance mufller on your car, but if you want it even louder and you have access to a plasma cutter and a welder cut open the muffler gut it out and weld it back together. its illegal so be careful but the cops dont really notice in florida.

what every you do don't touch the headers, unless your a professional it will only lead to headache later, water in a header and your engine is shot. try a glass pack muffler, or other performance mufflers on the market today.
