Yes, American Idol is fixed. How do you explain Taylor beating Daughtry last season, or that kid, Sanjaya is still in the competition.

It's not fixed, but it is definitly flawed. It's very obvious that the voting can be significantly influenced by "voting blocks" who have the time and technical capabilities to generate massive amounts of votes for one particular contestant, as was the case with Jasmine Trias two years ago when the entire state of Hawaii was able to vote for her unimpeded by any other state's calls. I think a better way to determine the top 12 would be to eliminate the Boy/Girl separation (honestly, who would care if there were 8 girls and 4 guys) and have the final 12 move on based upon their total number of votes after all three weeks of the preliminaries.

I have heard that some people have automatic dialing devices on their phones which allows them to vote over and over again for the same person...

American Idol really needs to get their head out of their butts and not concentrate on how many votes they get and instead limit how many times someone one can vote for each person....

Two reasons:

1 Cinglar is based in the south an makes up for most of the voting so only southern people win

2 www.votefortheworst.com is flooding the lines with votes for bad candidates
