....Ummm..McNabb? Just dump one of the better QBs in the leauge for a questionable rookie? Wow that's a great idea! Hey, could the Eagles trade McNabb to Carolina for us? He'd go great with Steve Smith.

Based on his terrible performance in the BCS Championship Game, Troy Smith probably won't even be drafted. So, the Eagles certainly will have a chance to get him, either with a late round choice or via free agency. The question is, why would they want him? He proved to be a very flawed player when confronted with a top-notch defense. And he will only see stronger defenses in the pro ranks.

Every team will have several chances to get Troy Smith. He is not going to get drafted until the later rounds.

as long as the Eagles have a selection in the first 3-4 rounds. Any team that selects Troy Smith before the 4th round is out of their mind. I saw a mock draft today that had him going in the botton half of the 5th round

He may not go until day two. All 32 NFL teams have a chance to draft him. The Eagles have no need for him, although they may draft him just because. I see him going to a team with an established starter he can learn behind for a few seasons and/or in NFL Europe

The eagles dont need Troy Smith, me personally I think that he is garbage, he might at best probably be a reciever, I heard that the team don't even like that kid, but hey dont let go of Stallworth.

The won't use the chance to draft him. He is too short for NFL QB - with 6'7" linemen, how is a guy < 6ft going to deal? They could draft him for another position, which I can't see anyone doing since he didn't workout at the combine to showcase his athleticism. He couldn't be a receiver, he wouldn't be a RB and I can't imagine he can play safety. No way he'd go for special teams either. So he can only be drafted by a team with a younger experienced QB so they can try him out at #3 QB...the Bengals or Saints may pick him up in late rounds - or the Jets or Dallas if they get extra picks from draft day trades, but I can't see who else would get him.

Only if he is willing to work for league minimum. The pockets are tight in the iglet's organization. Add that to the fact that the iglet's scouting staff couldn't spot talent if it was wearing a clown suit and you've got little shot at anyone in the draft or free agency this year. Goodbye Michael Lewis. Goodbye Donte Stallworth. Hank Baskett is the affordable future!! Hehehehe...

As an Eagles fan I hope they don't waste their time trying to get him. He's not the answer. For that matter either is McNabb. If the Eagles end up losing Stallworth now that Garcia is gone, I'm not sure what they're going to do offensively. Let's see what surprises the draft has to offer.

Yes, every team will have a chance. You'd think a Heisman winner would be drafted high, however losing the ADT National Title to Florida and a poor performance in the NFL combine leads to a late draft pick.
