I have tried using nothing and they crack within 2 or 3 days. I have tried all natural products as well. Nothing keeps them soft. Any ideas? Thanks!

Try pure vitamin E and a good moisturizer.

I have a lot of trouble with dry, cracking lips as well and the only thing that I have found to work for me is the Satin Lips set from Mary Kay. The first step is a lip mask which very gently takes the dead, dry skin off. The first time I used this I was rather nervous because my lips were raw and bleeding from being so dry but it is very gentle and didn't hurt at all. The second step is the lip balm which is good for hydration and protection. It lasts quite a while so you don't have to reapply it constantly. My lips are in much better shape since I have started using these products regularly.

I had the same type of problem as you had... the only ones that prevent my lips from cracking and kept my lips smooth and stay moisture longer than other brands... are the ones that provide suncreen in it (those labeled with SPF):

Blistex is great. You can buy in form of a lipstick (red-pinkish one), or the one with in the white tube which I heard is really good. Also heard the white tube one is one of the celebrities' secret from gettin' the redness and dryness around the nose area. I tried the lipstick and it works great... you can feel the moisture as soon as you applied. I think the orginal is better than the "Spa Blistex" one that you can get in a pack.

The other good one is by Softlips... a bit more pricey (like maybe a dollar more... lol)... and is also excellent.

I rarely had problems with cracking on the lips ever since I've used them. Hope this helps you out!!

I don't normally promote Mary Kay products, I'm a MAC girl myself...but they have a Satin Lips set that is INCREDIBLE...
If that's not a possibility for you, try using a toothbrush in the shower and just it GENTLY on your lips...then when you get out apply your lip balm whatever that may be...basically the key is to exfoliate then moisturize. You're on the right track making sure you drink plenty of water :)

everything drys mine out worse-chapstick is my worst enemy- the only thing I can use and it really does work is lips so soft. I found it at w-mart it's in a white tube down the isle where the stuff for fever blisters are. It comes in cherry and different flavors but Burt's Bees I can use occasionally- Good Luck.

Wet your lips with water and then use a soft-bristled toothbrush and GENTLY brush your lips for about 30 seconds. Then, use petroleum jelly (vaseline) as a lip gloss and keep it on your lips overnight. Make sure not to brush your lips everyday 'cause they'll get irritated...do it once a week. But use vaseline everynight before you sleep.

1st of all, scrub your lips with a scrub + a soft toothbrush to remove dead skin cells then try applying Neutrogena lip balm. It's scentless and has spf of about 4. but of you are more into flavours then i would suggest Blistex SPA effects Lip Balm,Blistex tint & gloss etc. I have also heard of Mary Kay's Satin Lip mask then Balm. Hane't tried it myself but I hear it works.

Eat vitamin E rich foods such as almonds. Or you can take a vitamin E supplement, found at your local pharmacy. Make sure that you are taking in healthy fats, as E is a fat soluble vitamin. Also, try to stay away from medicated lip balms, your lips will start to become accustomed and will dry without it. Goodluck!

Ok, let me ask... Do you drink a lot of fluids, water, juice, healthy stuff? Normally thats a sign of dehydration, but if thats not the case. Then you need natural lubrication, and Im not kidding. You a bunch of long romantic well lubricated kisses. Even smooches, saliva is a great medicine for our own wounds... Kiss kiss kiss.... It really helps!

You have to wash your lips with cold water and wipe it with a towal. So all the dead skin comes off. Then before bed wipe lotion on it then put very glossy lip gloss to bed. It helps keeps mosture on your lips to make it less chaped. And in the morning before you leave just put more of that gloss lip gloss and do the same through the day.

I had the same problem. The only thing that's worked is the Neosporin lip treatment. It's about $5 a tube, but it works for me.
