first of all it was george teague who came out and decked TO when he was on the dallas star
as for celebrations, i like them, but the nfl believes they are poor sportsmanship and delay the game, both of which are valid arguments...you see, we look at things from a fan's perspective and they look at things from a business perspective, like what is fair to all players and what is healthiest for the game

The reason for this rule was put in place because of T.O. and Roy Williams. When T.O. went out to the star and spun the ball and Roy Williams ran out and hit him it was not good publicity at all for the NFL. The rule was put into place shortly after that incdent. I do not agree with how strict it is though. The whole cell phone thing with Joe Horn was alright, and the sharpie was cool too. Those are the types of celebrations that should be allowed.

Its just like the delay of game when a basketball team keeps the other team from inbounding the ball by tossing the ball away. The major reason for the change was teams like Cincy or Dallas, showboating in the endzone for two minutes and it slows down the game. Also, players have been injured by F'n around in the endzone.

Would agree they have gone to great lengths to turn down the level of violence in the league and that hasn't always been to the benefit of the game. I would strongly disagree with you about the end zone celebrations. I think it is so much better watching a game now WITHOUT having to see all the dance and celebration crap. In fact I'd like to see even more of a crack down on it. Some of these guys make a routine tackle and dance, some sack a QB and dance. Be happy, congratulate your team mate and get back to the game. Act like the professionals you are suppose to be.

Because football is a team sport. One guy crosses the end zone but it took 10 other guys to get him there. Now it they allowed all 11 guys on offense to celebrate in the end zone, that would be a blast.

My favorite thing was "What's Chad Johnson going to do this week?" I enjoy the celebrations because they give entertainment value to the game, and let people realize it's a game. If the NFL wants to promote itself as a business, they should do like Green Bay and offer public shares of every team.

i don't know what the big deal is. it's a damn joke the end zone celebrations are one of the best parts about football and Chad Johnson is the ultimate why try to stop him he will just come up with great things that abide by rules. eventually all u will be able to do is that the ball to the ref and maybe eventually that will get u a 15 yard penalty for taunting also.

I dont know but I wish they would go back. I think some of the new rules about hits are to protect the players. But as far the endzone celebrations, I wish they wouldnt put rules on them. Maybe the losers where complaining.

i do no longer see how going over to the drums replaced into worse then T.O. pulling a sharpie out of his sock. no one replaced into being harmed in the two. Now hiding a cellular telephone interior the padding of the objective placed up could have been a distinctive undertaking. besides the gamers be attentive to the regulations. They be attentive to they could't use "props" and that could qualify as a prop. as properly T.O. have been given fined final year for his social gathering against the Dolphins the place he pretended he replaced into filming them. i think of they claimed the objective placed up replaced right into a prop by way of fact he replaced into status at the back of it, yet they have been truly merely mad by way of fact they wished to conceal up what exceeded off with the Patriots.

football is a team sport.. one guy making a marketing dance is nothing but bad sportsmanship and demeaning to his own team. It's like the guy in a factory who does nothing but box up the finished product and send it, slamming the package on the ground and doing a dance as if look what i just accomplished..
